Here at the Red Lion we are extremely lucky with our chef Lucasz Swierczynski, he has been fantastic at the helm of our extremely busy kitchen and keeps producing top quality dishes under extreme pressure! He has a background in cooking in some of Buckinghams finest restaurants and has been in the industry for over 12 years. Being head chef at the Red Lion has been one of his most challenging jobs so far, but i am sure you will agree he is doing an absolutely FANTASTIC job in the kitchen and really making some exceptional food!

His work has certainly not gone unnoticed so far, with so much positive feedback and a lot of happy satisfied customers! A big thank you to Lucasz for cooking his heart out every day and building the Red Lion’s reputation as a great local place to dine.

In addition, to our growing menu and reputation in the kitchen. We also have managed to stir up some interest in our “larger than average” selection of cask ales, lagers and ciders. We have some great beers on tap, including:

Hobgoblin – Traditionally brewed to produce a wonderfully well balanced blend of smooth, rich & satisfying flavours from chocolate & crystal malts combined with a crisp, refreshing bitterness from Styrian, Goldings and Fuggles hops.

Pedigree – An exceptional premium ale with an ABV of 4.5%, it has always been crafted using the finest natural ingredients to maintain its reputation as a truly exceptional beer.

Oxford Gold – Arguably our most popular cask beer, especially in these summer months. It is an organic ale brewed nearby in Oxfordshire (who would have guessed)! It is “a superb session beer, amber in colour with a good fruit, hop and malt nose. The initial taste of malt and the well-hopped bitterness quickly dissolves into a predominantly bitter-sweet and fruity finish.”
