What a wonderful pub. Take friendly attentive service with a smile, add an innovative menu and very tasty food, an open fire and a beautiful village location and you get the Red Lion at Evenley. We will be back as soon as we can. Don’t change a thing ’til then.

Just ‘discovered’ The Red Lion despite living in the next village and having been let down with poor quality food nearby it’s great to have found a decent local.

After a bracing walk from Brackley across fields my friend and I enjoyed a delicious roast beef Sunday lunch. Fantastic service and atmosphere too. Thank you!

Last Sunday night we popped into the Red Lion to do a couple impromptu songs, we had a great night. We were made very welcome,great atmosphere, good beer. Thanx to Paul and Angie for keeping music live, would recommend a visit to this excellent pub. Pedro, Lou and Steve

Visited today and this is everything a Village pub should be. Good food, good beer, friendly service and great atmosphere. First visit for some years will be back sooner. (also very friendly with our little boy)

Please Thank all your staff for a very successful evening last night 13th.They coped very well with our party of 25. The food was served very promptly and was hot and well cooked (as usual ) Paul and the others very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble

After driving for miles to find a perfect pub dinner my friend and I came upon your wonderful pub quite by accident! We had such a lovely meal I had to comment on here! Both our meals were delicious and so much too!!!! Haven’t had such a great pub meal like that in a very very long time! Plus the bonus of watching the cricket on the village green opposite just added to our magical mystery tour. Thank you so much for providing the perfect pub….and being recommended as we speak. x

Visiting friends in Evenley, we decided to have a pub lunch. Why can’t all pubs be like this. Great ambience, good food and lovely hosts. I envy anybody who has it as a local, pity we are in Essex.
