This page really matters to us! And your feedback is the only way we can improve what we do, we don’t want to be like every other Pub, we want it to be special and you can help us learn and grow.
Therefore, in an effort to continue our unorthodox approach to running The Red Lion (it seems to be working so far) we are going to put the fate of our reputation into into your hands; the visitor. Talk amongst yourselves in the comments section below, oh, and try to be nice!

OK The Dude second left in the front looks really scary!
The guys either side look super cool.
Great web site go for it guys.
All the best Brian and Heather
Thanks Brian/Heather much appreciated
This is the team we should have taken to South Africa! There is more planning, heart and commitment in that room than there every was on the pitch
This is a village pub worthy of a World Cup win
keep winning

Hi Ian, big thanks for the vote of confidence.
Best regards
Paul and Angie
I think the lovely waitresses should have a photo up on the website!
Happy times to you.

Oops, and meant to say well done on such a great website! As a Red Lion ‘Old Boy’, its sooo lovely to see such heart and dedication going into one of the best pubs around. You’ve reignited the glory days and my hat firmly goes off to you both.

The best Fish and Chips ever!
great pub, great staff, what all village pubs should be like.
A great selection of well kept beers, served by very nice people!
tried out food as finding rival pub/restaurants a bit pricey. very pleased with quality and quantity of food and at a good price . nice service from angie who took on board a couple of minor bits of feedback. hope to be back with friends and family.
Do you really want me to CHIP in????
Having travelled 125 mls. from Derby and Hants my sister and I picked “The Red Lion” as mid -way. The staff and Menu made the selection easy with 3 having roast lamb and 1 having the Steak/kidney pie. The choice of Ales was very impressive as well.
We were all very full, not even space for pudding.
Prices were fair and we left feeling that the Red Lion was certainly a place for another visit.
Visiting friends in Evenley, we decided to have a pub lunch. Why can’t all pubs be like this. Great ambience, good food and lovely hosts. I envy anybody who has it as a local, pity we are in Essex.
Quite possibly THE BEST steak I’ve ever had. Exceptional value too.
After driving for miles to find a perfect pub dinner my friend and I came upon your wonderful pub quite by accident! We had such a lovely meal I had to comment on here! Both our meals were delicious and so much too!!!! Haven’t had such a great pub meal like that in a very very long time! Plus the bonus of watching the cricket on the village green opposite just added to our magical mystery tour. Thank you so much for providing the perfect pub….and being recommended as we speak. x
We had a very nice lunch there today. Good portion size and friendly atmosphere
well worth a visit.
Please Thank all your staff for a very successful evening last night 13th.They coped very well with our party of 25. The food was served very promptly and was hot and well cooked (as usual ) Paul and the others very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble
Visited today and this is everything a Village pub should be. Good food, good beer, friendly service and great atmosphere. First visit for some years will be back sooner. (also very friendly with our little boy)
